I feel like we live in a world bombarded with information and our frequent interaction with social media, the internet, technology sometimes increases the chance of miscommunication. I have been inspired to create a labyrinth of repeated impermanence through a process of exploring, experimenting, a state of limbo-getting lost in the labyrinth and bewildering world packed with a variety of information. How do we become perplexed by overloaded information in the labyrinth of miscommunication?
This project was initially inspired by a very confusing journey on the London underground. My friend and I once wanted to explore the city by riding different tube lines, but then we got confused and lost many times even though we already followed the signs, instructions and of course electronic devices that could navigate us to our destination. This experience made me think intuitively in a bigger scope that we are surrounded by loads of information every day but it seems that easy access to a variety of information doesn’t really improve our cognition.
