XIAOLING

XIAOLING is a Humanwear and Digital designer based in London, with professional skills in fashion and textile techniques as well as 3D software. Her multidisciplinary skills and interests bring her work to a crossover world between the digital and physical space.

She’s currently building an immersive personalized fashion system, informed by values such as community, sustainability, emotion, and full immersion. Her designs always seek to build an emotional connection between garments and wearers.

When I bear the shade, consciousness light a newer world.

When I touch my skin, they breathe, and I feel at ease.

When I listen to the language of the space, the message is infinity.

When I open my eyes, a moment of the future is glimpsed.

The story- UNDER THE SHELL based on an immersive personalized fashion system, informed by values such as community, sustainability, emotion, and full immersion. 

The new system uses cut-out holes in garments to let the wearer wear in a transformative way, and let the wearer have more freedom to express themselves. Awareness of the sustainability issues in the fashion industry, the personalized system creates garments based people’s options, which prevent massive manufacturing. Various cut-out holes in garments can let people wear in different ways, give people more freedom and choices to wear clothes in a fun way, I’m aiming to build emotional connection by involving people in the design process. The surreal digital space is where I display the garments and providing customized service. People can play, enjoy, and shop in the space I created.

It’s the journey to listen to your inner voice, an awakening of the consciousness about embracing, loving your own body.
