Wanqi Wang

Wanqi Wang is a 2D animatior from China. Her works describe stories with universal values. In her previous works, she has been keen to use satire, comedy and symbolic things to express the content of stories.

She has great enthusiasm for creating stories, and is constantly trying new ways to express stories. She is currently working on using Blender to make more amazing animations.

This short film Love Can Hold Us Together tells the story of two couples living in modern times and 1935. In the story, they are both far away from their partners. In different times, they expressed their love to each other in different ways. This film talks about how they solve the emotional problems caused by distance.

The story is told in the form of monologues of two characters. One is from the director's own point of view, the other is from Zhu Shenghao. The reference of the monologue comes from the published book "Complete Works of Zhu Sheng's Love Letters". Wanqi rearranged and combined the words in the book according to the needs of the plot.
