Jasper is a product designer with a multidisciplinary skillset across design, software engineering and product management. Proficient in major 2D/3D design tools, front-end technology and game engines, he loves to design, prototype and iterate products rapidly.
Before IDE, he graduated with an economics and finance degree from The University of Melbourne.
Video games are a combination of many artistic expressions and art forms and have evolved into the most interactive and immersive medium to express oneself. However, unlike other art forms like photography and filmmaking, which have all been democratised with an abundance of tools that cater for people of any skill levels, video games have been accessible to the technically versed group of people only due to their multidisciplinary nature and high technical barriers to entry.
The mission statement of my final project is to democratise game development for everyone and invite more creative minds to express themselves with this powerful medium.
