About

Giving the observer the chance to experience this vessel that “I” Daniel calls

body. The Idea of a changeable body, designing myself and playing

god//engineer of my own universe. This research method gave me the

opportunity to have a better understanding of what is my material, the use of

my body as “fabric”. With this project I intend to bring the outsider to my universe, giving context, meaning,

background but over my rules. A film divided into chapters of my manifesto, a film divided into memories and experiences, a film that is me and you.

Statement

Methods used to accomplish and understand the material/ the fabric.

Body of work was not possible without me not constantly record/edit/interact with self and others. Recording conversations, writing dreams, filming the constant ( and normal ) ups and downs of life. Meeting myself, my approach was always trying to meet my soul.

I didn't only record my conversations I often also video record my walks and myself talking  at almost as a way of meditating and going back in time. Understanding self.

There's vlogs, audios and writing pieces

When using the term fabric to define my body is me taking over the concept of clothes, fashion and personal style. I am wearing the vessel, I am draping this fabric around me.

Ego Language

“A love letter to my community, A love letter to self.”

Using my experience as black queer individual trying to operate in a world where my narrative often doesn't count. Capturing the eyes of the observer and telling a story that everyone can relate to a certain degree. A constant need to find myself. Reaching out to my community through my art and hopefully raising conversations in spaces that those conversations need to be happening.

Finding my own language. The idea of my body as a fabric, my material that with this work I am unpicking and revealing the layers.
