Chenyu Cai is a conceptual footwear designer from Beijing,She explores the relationship between medical fetish and power, medical instruments and skin. Through these explorations, she considers how technology can transform the human body now and speculates about how this may change in the future.

Chenyu Cai is a conceptual footwear designer, working in the relationship between technology and human skin, inspired by the power of the fetish and shibari art,she thinks that medical fetish are not simply deviated sexual practices,but complex constructs of identity and chosen experience.She break through the boundary of traditional footwear making and modern technology,exploring the human skin and blood flowing, She combine the 3d print tubes with liquid and leather,and she also hopes that through her design more people will know and comprehend the fetish community.
