An Ting Teng
My practice investigates the encounters between image and surface. Everyday materials, both natural and man-made fascinate me. By experimenting with traditional printmaking methods and darkroom techniques, textures and materials transform into three-dimensional forms. Objects and images constantly refer to their own fixed structure establishing connections that linger.
This encounter of mediums generates a new narrative that brings together the elements of memory, nature and longing; alternating between the notion of sculpture and photography in a poetic representation.
