Zijia Zhang

In my paintings, my inspirations mainly come from personal experience and emotional changes, and the contradictions between the imaginary space and reality. Through reorganized surface and space, the paintings challenge the meaning of reality, they are familiar, yet particular. I aim to extract the particular scenes in life, such as the optical illusions that can be captured through cameras, and reserve them using paintings. By repeatedly creating visual realities, I present a new perspective that is both unforeseen and full of artistic conception.
