Shihao Song is a visual communicator and designer based in Shanghai. Before studying MA Visual Communication at the Royal College of Art, Shihao completed his BFA at the School of Art Institute of Chicago. 

To make information more transparent and fair in the commercial environment. In a non-commercial environment, to make ordinary people more united. To make the voices of the underprivileged more visible.

When facing numerous information online, people tend to see only what they want to see, and the algorism will select their preferred information to them, which ends up narrowing down their horizon just like a silkworm making a cocoon for itself. This effect is called "information cocoon." This also means ordinary people have difficulty communicating their views to the public in a normal way.

I try to find a new model of communication to break the cocoon of information for communicators. I've been doing experiments and data collection for a long time.

Finally, a set of communication models can be obtained to break the cocoon of information for communicators. I call it Post-identity Design Strategy. It forges a fresh connection between concept, criticality and making in new social media environment. It also provides a framework to support visual communication in art and design practice. Post-identity Design Strategy can help communicators break through the information cocoon and truly achieve effective content communication.
