Beliefs in spirits and animistic practices are embedded in a dense web of intertextuality and take an active role in Thai social life. There is a continual fascination with spirits that dwell in a world parallel to everyday life and objects. My project investigates and collages traditional rituals, supernaturally charged spaces, their remediation and transcendence with new communications technology and shifting ideology. Reflecting on the multiple other-worldly hauntings and its relevance in the contemporary Thai consciousness. I explore these themes in a four part visual essay.
