A small change in design can have an unpredictable impact on many aspects.

As a designer, I am always been passionate about breathing life into products, deconstructing and reconstructing the relationship between people and products, and exploring different perspectives to bring people to a better life.

The following project called “Vita Sticker”, which is an anthropomorphic design that extracts three infant interactions in a frequent, high tolerance and easily achievable way to induce behavioural change in the user in order to develop good habits.

“Vita Sticker” is a series of products which is inspired by children's intuitive interaction, stimulates people's empathy by extracting anthropomorphic behaviors, changes the use experience of the product, thus reshapes the relationship between people and the product. It aims to help orientate people in an increasingly distracting world ,to induce awareness of bad habits in daily routines and nudge human behaviours, ultimately resulting in a better living environment.

It currently comes in 3 different modes that you can add each of them on simple products for daily use. While, it encourages users to explore more different functions for diverse using scenarios.

There are always 'bad' habits in our daily lives, such as forgetting to turn off the lights, watching TV too close, skipping out on work, etc. These habits can lead to a waste of energy, harm our health and reduce our productivity. Thus, how can we effectively develop good habits and avoid bad ones?

Behavior change requires a person to disrupt a current habit while simultaneously fostering a new, possibly unfamiliar, set of actions. It turns out the efficient way to nurture a habit is using a frequent, highly tolerant way to interact and make the feedback more easily achievable.

Product anthropomorphism refers to the phenomenon that people perceive inanimate products as having human-like physical and mental characteristics.

Experiments have proved that anthropomorphism can directly affect consumers’ attitude towards products, the deep feeling of resemblance which may contribute to human emotions, evoke empathy, reduce cognitive friction, and make people accepting a product unconsciously thus change the relationship between human and product.

Each product of Vita Sticker adopts an infant intolerance to our actions due to our response to infant is a biologically built-in behaviour and using physical manifestation as a more direct way to seek people's attention thus change behaviour.

Above are the details of the working mechanism and information of each product. Based on feedback from the user's usage behaviour, Vita Stickers will escalate the interactive behaviour to be more or less tolerable. This gives the user timely feedback to stimulate behavioural change while ensuring habit formation.

Vita Sticker has a wide range of applications. It can stimulate deeper thinking about the interaction between people and products. For product suppliers, it can increase the tolerance and loyalty of the user, for the users, it will undoubtedly increase the pleasure of life and make it better.

Enjoy the Vita Sticker and just have fun with it :)
