Animators in Conversation: Gender, Identity & Relationships

A panel discussion surrounding the theme ‘Gender, Identity & Relationships’ chaired by Ioli Fillipakopoulou. A conversation with animation graduates about how their films approach the themes of gender, identity and relationships. We will explore how the projects use various visual and narrative devices to help us further understand those we thought we always knew, and the relationships we often take for granted. The films range from portrayals of inter-generational dynamics, through the complexities of loving another, to the often confusing relationship we have with ourselves.
